made from resin-infused paper.
Composed of approximately 65% FSC®-certified or
recycled paper content and 35% phenolic resin, Richlite’s color comes from a
combination of the paper and the amber tone of the resin. Richlite works
similar to a dense hardwood and can be easily milled, sanded, routed, joined
and it can also be laser engraved. Richlite is water-resistant, naturally antimicrobial, has
low moisture absorption, heat and fire resistant, extraordinarily dense and
durable, and has a natural appeal due to its paper construction.
With materials made from recycled content and pulp
derived from responsibly harvested trees, Complete with FSC certification by
the Rainforest Alliance and GREENGUARD accreditation, Richlite minimizing its
impact by using sustainably-derived resources, through sound manufacturing and
business practices, and by working with partners who share similar goals.
This is a great material for producing knife
handles, pistol grips, cell phone cases, guitar parts and so much more. Not only is it
an environmentally friendly material but much easier on your tools than G10,
Canvas Linen, or Carbon fiber, no more itchy dust or fibers stuck in your fingers and less expensive than these other materials.
