Masecraft Supply Company has been in business since 1980. We will celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2020. We are a family owned and operated company well into our second generation. We began as a "sister" company to Crown Plastics, an injection molding company in Meriden, CT which was, at the time, the leading supplier of injection molded knife handles to the cutlery industry in the USA.

Because of our close association with cutlery manufacturers original Masecraft founder Marjorie Hartman recognized their need for reliable sources for other types of  materials so she decided to create a second company to meet those needs, not only for manufacturers but also for the growing ranks of professional custom makers and hobbyists.

Over the years we found that many other custom markets were also searching for and using many of the same types of materials which has caused us to branch out into a variety of different custom markets. This has prompted us to become not only one of the largest suppliers to the knife world but a host of other categories including musical instruments, pool cues, pistol grips, pens, fishing rods, custom furniture, shaving razors & brushes, jewelry, fashion, automotive and just about every market you can think of to customize.

From the beginning we have been an international trading company dealing in natural products such as Stag Antler, Shell, LVS, Horn, Bone and Exotic Woods. Now Marjorie’s sons Phil and Chris Hartman are taking all of these materials to a whole new level adding rigid composite laminates including Canvas, Linen & Paper Micarta plus G10Carbon FiberC TEK and creating new materials like ALVS and Stag Alike . They have also including decorative synthetics such as Polyester Pearls, Acrylics, Alternative Ivory, Recon Stone, Moon GlowAtlante and Stonite polyesters. Now we offer over 20 categories of materials for both major manufactures and individual craftspeople. We also offer full CNC custom cutting services for manufacturer orders for all of our materials.

Masecraft recognizes that it has been the entire community of manufacturers and custom makers that have helped to make us who we are today. We welcome all newcomers who continue to inspire us to search and create new exciting materials for craftspeople everywhere.
With much gratitude, we thank our customers, suppliers and all the many people who have helped us get to where we are today and we welcome you all to our website.

Sincerely,
The Hartman Family
